The Experience

The adventure
awaits

Here is a snapshot of what your adventure could look like. This is just the basics.

The full picture depends on how you want to tailor your journey along the way.

START OF THE DAY

Discovery

Explore your natural playground at Vogrie Country Park, our partners.

The Earth & Nature Adventures base camp is located in the beautiful woodland estate which surrounds a Victorian Country House. There is so much to enjoy in the country park with play facilities, the Treetops Café and the fun miniature railway that circuits the park.

There are 11.5 miles of countryside paths through the woodlands to enjoy.

MORNING

Build your skills

Time to gear up!

The morning allows you to get confident using the tools we will be using to create a home in the woods. You will gain skills to work with the tools effectively, safely and confidently.
Getting hands on with knivessaws, and axes will help you create projects to thrive in the wilderness.
Next up, is harnessing the important primitive skill of firelighting. You will learn different ways to start a fire that will keep you warm at basecamp and provide the heat needed for our fire-side lunch.

MID DAY

Adventure Fuel

Once we have lit a roaring campfire, which will be the heart of basecamp, we can fuel up for the afternoon’s adventures. Every meal at Earth and Nature Adventures is shared by the fire, allowing time to connect with your tribe.

You will have the opportunity to make your own fireside treats, cooking by the fire using traditional Bushcraft methods.

AFTERNOON

Creation Time

Our afternoon is spent building shelters in our woodland. We will also learn the skill of water collection, filtration and purification for that all-important tea and coffee break. Making water safe and suitable for drinking is a key skill to thrive in the wild. Once we have these important skills nailed, it's time to get creative making tools that will help you to thrive at camp.

END OF AFTERNOON

Back to Base

As the adventure comes to a close we will take time to reflect around the fire about areas of challenge and where you showed strength in your outdoor experience.

We will also share photos and videos of your ventures in the wilderness to relive those memories at home.

TWO-DAYS EXPERIENCE

Take your adventure to the next level!

Spend the night camping out under a sky full of stars, sitting around the fire, a delicious dinner surrounded by the natural beauty of the woodland, and a second day packed with more activities, skills and nature connection.

That’s what our two-days experience is all about.

THE NEXT DAY

More adventure, deeper
connections

The second day of your adventure is dedicated to more exploration and developing more skills to thrive in basecamp. Exploring your woodland skills at a deeper level, learning wood carving techniques.

Allow yourself to be disconnected from the real world and even more in touch with nature.

The Two-days Adventure is the perfect way to disconnect from the real world and return feeling brand new.

END OF ADVENTURE

Clean off that mud

Your two days of disconnection may feel like a week, but we’ll help ease you back into the real world. After saying goodbye to basecamp you'll have your pockets full of memories to cherish and skills to enrich all your future adventures.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"This was one of the best family adventures we’ve ever had!
The experience was unreal and our guides were so experienced, we felt totally safe throughout! The kids loved nature spotting and just being able to explore - they are already asking when we can go back!!
— Victoria & Family
"We were looking to discover Scottish Nature and it was AMAZING!
We went to the experience as group of friends, our guides, showed us a some outstanding landscapes around Edinburgh and had the chance to try some bushcraft activities too. We will highly recomend this experience to anyone!
— Nay & Friends
"You can't get better than a score of 10/10!
I took my Goddaughter for a Bushcraft experience with Earth & Nature Adventures. We had a fantastic day and both learned loads. Nacho and Emma's respective skillsets of outdoor survival and education are a great combination and their passion and enthusiasm comes across clearly. You can't get better than a score of 10/10 from a 12 Yr old female so I think that says it all. I'd definitely recommend.
